Unetbootin, vous permet d’installer une distribution Linux sur une clé USB. Plus précisément, c’est un installateur très simple pré-programmé pour : * une vingtaine de distributions GNU/Linux mais aussi BSD [1] ; * une petite dizaine d’utilitaires d’administration de système (Parted Magic, Super Grub Disk, Ophcrack, etc.). L’installation peut se faire sur tous supports amovibles mais aussi sur une partition de votre disque-dur. Libre à vous de choisir d’autres distributions que celles pré-programmées, il suffit d’indiquer à Unetbootin la localisation de l’image disque présente sur votre disque dur. Du coup, pour le chargement de l’image disque d’une distribution, vous pouvez vous passer de connexion internet et de CD.

Once you can netboot.me, you never need to update your boot disk again! netboot.me works through the magic of netbooting. There are a number of ways to boot a computer with netboot.me. The simplest is to download a bootable image and burn it to a CD, USB memory stick, or floppy disk. Boot off it on any networked computer, and it will automatically fetch the latest boot options from netboot.me and let you choose from dozens of installation, recovery, testing, portable desktop and other tools. You can also start netboot.me from any computer running gPXE, or from any netbootable computer with some simple tweaks to your DHCP server.

This guide will show you, how to use WinSetupFromUSB to create a bootable USB Flash Drive including all Windows source files, plus the following installation of Windows XP. Compare to the different USB_Multiboot versions, WinSetupFromUSB comes with a Graphical User Interface (GUI) and is in my opinion easier to use.

Ensuite, il faudra lancer un outil de ligne de commande en administrateur (Touche Windows + R, taper cmd puis valider en faisant MAJ + Entrée). Une fois ceci effectué, il faudra lancer l'outil Diskpart de Windows en tapant simplement diskpart et en validant. - Identifier notre clef USB en tapant list disk (numéro de la clef USB). Séléctionons ensuite la clef avec la fonction select disk XX , où XX est le numéro relevé précédemment. Formater le clef en FAT. Le NTFS, peut, par contre aussi être utilisé, mais cela empêchera la création d'un menu GRUB pour le multi−boot, et donc, de remplir la clef avec des outils aussi INtéresants que nombreux. Pour ce faire, il vous faudra taper les commandes suivantes : clean · create partition primary (on rajoutera size=2000 si la clef fait plus de 2 Go) · format FS=FAT Quick · active · assign · exit ·

Some of the tools inlcuded are "free for personal use" copies so users need to respect these licenses. A few of the tools included in UBCD4Win are paid for and licensed software owned by UBCD4win. On occasion we work with software companies/authors for permission to include their software in our download or have requested their software better support PE. Users can freely share copies of UBCD4Win with friends but selling UBCD4Win for a profit is not acceptable.

La création d’une clé sur laquelle votre netbook va démarrer et faire fonctionner un système d’exploitation est assez simple, il vous faudra suivre ce guide pas à pas pour y parvenir. Ce guide est issu du site: Tuto-eee.net
Pour créer cette clé Live-USB, vous aurez besoin d’un petit logiciel baptisé UnEtBootIn. Ce petit programme fonctionne sous Linux comme sous Windows. Vous aurez également besoin d’une clé USB vierge d’au moins 1 Go. Enfin, il vous faudra un ordinateur pour faire la manipulation, cette machine peut être votre netbook.

QuickStart Configures Your Ubuntu System Without Terminal Work

Linux only: QuickStart, a free automation utility for Ubuntu Linux systems, makes it easy to perform partial or full system backups of any partition, synchronize folders and update them on a schedule, and take care of other tasks a beginner would normally need to spend serious time researching. The tiny app opens a simple interface listing your choices, although dialog prompts guide you through any steps requiring input. The tools for installing DVD playing codecs, backing up your Master Boot Record, and creating synchronized backups seem particularly helpful, and while I haven't tested every function, a handful of them completed without any problems. QuickStart is a free download for Ubuntu systems only; both links below carry non-terminal installation instructions for the script.
