Alsacréations est une communauté dédiée à la conception web aux normes, et notamment aux standards W3C, aux feuilles de style CSS, au langage (X)HTML, ainsi qu'à l'accessibilité du Web en général. L'univers Alsacréations est articulé autour de trois univers : un ensemble de cours et de tutoriels (« Apprendre »), un espace communautaire contenant un forum de discussion (« Forum »), et un service de recherche et d'offres d'emploi (« Emploi »). I did notice however several mentions of the "HTML5 standard" that led me to write this post to remind the community of the current status of the specification, both in practice and on the standards track.. HTML5 isn't a W3C standard. We certainly look forward to the day when it is, but it isn't yet. In fact, the specification, co-authored by Ian Hickson from Google, is still very much a work in progress.
Rappelons que HTML5 est le format "sérialisé à la SGML" du document, pour le standard on devrait écrire HTML 5 (mais Google a plus de mal à le trouver dans ce cas). Et Hickson nous rappelle dans les commentaires comment il peut être pragmatique (cf. hier).

JabRef is an open source bibliography reference manager. The native file format used by JabRef is BibTeX, the standard LaTeX bibliography format. JabRef runs on the Java VM (version 1.5 or newer), and should work equally well on Windows, Linux and Mac OS X.

The goal of the SafeStr library is to provide a rich string-handling library for C that has safe semantics yet interoperates with legacy library code in a straightforward manner. Additionally, porting code that uses standard C string handling should be straightforward. The library should work on all modern Unix-like platforms, as well as any 32-bit Microsoft Windows OS.
The overt security goals of the library are as follows:
1. Buffer overflows should not be possible when using the API.
2. Format string problems should be impossible when using the API.
3. The API should be capable of tracking whether strings are "trusted", a la Perl's taint mode.
The API is meant to provide rich functionality and be easy to use, all the while improving security.

Si vous avez un serveur sur lequel vous gérez une floppé de Wordpress, voici un petit script crée par les amis Billyboylindien et Xorax qui va vous permettre de mettre à jour tous ces wordpress en un seul coup… Alors bien sûr les plus sournois d’entre vous vont me dire : “Ouiii mais euuuh, y’a wordpress MU j’te ferai dire d’abord que j’te signale !”
Effectivement, Wordpress MU est une version particulière de Wordpress qui permet via une seule install de Wordpress d’avoir x blogs… Très bien mais toujours mis à jour en décalé par rapport à Wordpress standard et tout le monde n’a pas forcement installé un Wordpress MU dès le départ (genre : moi !)
Du coup, ce script de mise à jour est vraiment le bienvenu. Une fois que vous l’avez paramètré et rendu exéutable, il se chargera automatiquement de téléchager la dernière version de Wordpress, fera un backup de vos fichiers et de votre base de donnée, et mettra en place les nouveaux fichiers de Wordpress sans bousiller toute votre install (donc sans toucher à wp-content).

Plaider pour l’écologie c’est bien, économiser l’énergie c’est encore mieux. Savez-vous que 15% de l’énergie électrique consommée par un foyer pourrait être économisée par simple visualisation ? C’est en s’appuyant sur ce constat, que l’équipe de designers d’EDDS Design a conçu le projet de prise électrique écologique U know watt. Un boîtier intelligent et pourtant d’une apparence enfantine. Cette prise affiche la consommation énergétique instantanée via des codes couleurs basiques : le bleu indique une consommation réduite (peut-être pourriez-vous alors éteindre vos appareils en veille ?), le vert symbolise l’état standard (attention à ne pas consommer davantage !), enfin le rouge vous alerte d’un pic de consommation (avez-vous pensé à éteindre les lumières ?). Une prise électrique écolo et ludique. Mais qu’est-ce qu’on attend pour la produire en série ?

Hubiquity est une société française dont je vous avez parlé au mois de févier qui propose un solution de standard téléphonique full web. Depuis la fin de l’été il est possible de disposer de numéros uniques.
Pour faire simple, une fois inscrit sur hubiquity vous disposerez d’un numéro en 0 825 pour votre société et de numéros en 09 pour vos collaborateurs, tous ces numéros sont administrable depuis une interface en ligne et peuvent être renvoyé vers des téléphones fixes ou des mobiles. L’intérêt, 1 numéro sur la carte de visite qui envoie sur un téléphone fixe/mobile + fax + boite mail + répondeur personnalisé et tout ça accessible dans votre navigateur.A noter aussi j’avais aussi bien aimé la simplicité de prise en main de l’interface.
